A three-month deadline was given to social media platforms on February 25 to comply with the new IT regulations.

Will Indians lose access to including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram in two days? This social media giants have been considered by the center with warnings about their failure to adhere to a series of guidelines that come into force in two days, NDTV reported quoting government sources.
Earlier this year on February 25, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MEIT) has gave a three-month deadline to all social media platforms to comply with new rules.
The rules include the appointment of compliance officials, giving their names and addresses in India, complaint resolution, unpleasant content monitoring, compliance reports and unpleasant content deletion. So far, no company except the one who reportedly pointed to the official.
