Additionally, Krafton accuses Google of hosting videos on YouTube that showcase gameplay from Free Fire and Free Fire Max.
According rajkotupdates.news : pubg developer krafton has filed a lawsuit against garena free fire: to the complaint shared by The Verge, Krafton alleges that Garena has generated significant revenue, amounting to “hundreds of millions of dollars,” from the sales of Free Fire and Free Fire Max. Similarly, Apple and Google have profited from the distribution of these games, despite the copyright infringement claims. Both Free Fire and Free Fire Max remain available for download on Apple’s App Store and Google Play store.
Krafton claims
Krafton claims to have taken initial actions against Free Fire and Free Fire Max on December 21. These actions included requesting Garena to immediately cease the exploitation of the games and revoking any apparent authorization granted to Apple and Google. However, Garena reportedly refused to comply with these requests. Moreover, Krafton urged Apple and Google to stop distributing and exploiting the infringing games on their platforms, but both apps continue to be listed on their respective app stores.
Furthermore, Krafton has called for the removal of numerous videos on YouTube that contain elements that blatantly infringe upon PUBG: Battlegrounds, as well as a feature-length film that allegedly infringes on its intellectual property rights. Despite these requests, the infringing videos are still available on Google’s video sharing platform.
The lawsuit also references a previous incident in 2017 when Garena released a game in Singapore that was accused of copying PUBG: Battlegrounds. Although the claims were settled, there was reportedly no licensing agreement between the two gaming companies.

In comparison, Krafton’s earnings during the same period amounted to $2.98 billion (roughly Rs. 22,087 crore), showing a more modest 7 percent year-on-year growth.
