After each day of pause, petrol prices were hiked again by 31 to 35 paise while diesel of 26 to 30 paise on Saints Peter and Paul , taking fuel prices across the country to a historic high, consistent with a price notification by state-owned fuel retailers.
The increase, 32nd in but two months, took petrol price in Delhi inches closer to Rs 99 per litre mark while diesel crossed Rs 89 per litre mark on the day. A litre of petrol and diesel now cost Rs 98.81 and Rs 89.18, respectively, within the capital .

Chennai also saw a rise in fuel prices with petrol and diesel rises by 31 paise and 26 paise, respectively. the worth of petrol was Rs 99.80 per litre which of diesel was Rs 93.72 per litre in Tamil Nadu’s capital.
