New Delhi: Air India has limited its operations to the US from India considering the spread of 5G communication by the United States.
“#Flyai: Because of the distribution of 5G communication in the US, our operations to the United States from India stands limited / revised with changes in the type of aircraft starting January 19, 2022. The update in this case will be notified,” said Tweet from India Air.

United Airlines said the plan to launch 5G US governments today will have a devastating impact on flights, negatively affect the estimated 1.25 million United passengers, at least 15,000 flights, and very needed items and many cargoes traveling through more than 40 airports The biggest in the country every year.

When deployed next to the runway, the 5G signal can interfere with the main safety equipment that depends on the pilot to take off and land in bad weather, the airline said in a statement.

“We will not compromise safely – stopped full. However, the government in other countries has successfully designed a policy to ensure the distribution of safe 5G technology and we only asked the US government to do the same. If not, radio altimeter on a particular aircraft, which is provide information to other safety systems such as autopilot, head display, terrain warnings, and pitch controls, will be compromised and will produce significant restrictions on 787s, 777s, 737, and regional planes in big cities such as Houston, Newark, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Chicago. “

“Unfortunately, this will produce not only hundreds of thousands of aviation cancellations and disruptions for customers throughout the industry in 2022, but also the suspension of cargo flights to these locations, causing negative ripple effects on the supply chain that has been fragile. We please administer Biden for Acting quickly and applying the same solution to the general here which has clearly worked very well throughout the world, “he said.
