Former MD and CEO of Yes Bank, Rana Kapoor, has been guaranteed by a special PMLA court in Mumbai on Wednesday in the alleged fraud case of Rp170,000 Crore.
The Delhi High Court today is looking for a response from the Directorate of Enforcement on the Kapoor Rana Bail Tree, in the case of money laundering.
Justice Manoj Kumar Ohri issued a notice of Kapoor’s request and registered a case to hear further on March 11.
Last month, the court court has denied the relief of guarantees to Kapoor, noting that the allegations of it were the biggest and serious.
However, the court court has been given to 15 others accused of – B days, Abishek S Pandey, Rajendra Kumar Mangal, Raghubir Kumar Sharma, Anil Bhargava, Tapsi Mahajan, Surendra Kumar Khandelwal, Sonu Chadha, Ramesh Sharma, Pawan Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Pawan Kumar Agarwal, Amit Mamtani, Ashish Agarwal, Amit Kumar, and Vinod Bahety – in this case.
Kapoor has transferred the guarantee application before the trial court after he was called by a court that took awareness of the accusation sheet submitted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
This application was opposed by ED on the grounds that Kapoor played a role in the “crime” generation.
The judge observed that 15 accused “only hands to say and in accordance with the average mentioned in the complaint seemed to have taken certain actions / negligence, while seemed to take instructions from allegations of Gautam Thapoor or accused of Kapoor Rana, as an agent / employee”.
The court has, in October last year, took aware of the complaint of Edmut Ed, equivalent to the accusation sheet, against people accused of this case, said there was enough reason to continue against them.
According to Ed, this case is registered in Gautam Thapar, Avantha Realty Ltd. (ARL), Oyster Buildwell Pvt Ltd (OBPL), and others accuse criminal violations of trust, cheating, criminal conspiracy, and forgery for transferring or misuse of public money or misuse during the 2017 period Until 2019.
Previously, Ed had told Delhi’s court that the investigation revealed that around ₹ 500 decreased crime, washed through OBPL, JHABUA POWER LIMITED (JPL), JHABUA Power Investment Ltd. (JPIL), Avantha Power and Infrastructure Ltd (APIL)), Arl, etc. are controlled and directly used or indirectly by Thapar.
