Daily Voice | Market will fall further if Omicron wave turns out to be as bad as 2nd wave: Divam Sharma of Green Portfolio

On 3 years Ago

Ivam Sharma, the Co-Founder Green Portfolio felt 2022 must be a better year than 2021 from the perspective of IPO as water has been tested for start-up with companies like Nykaa, Zomato and Paytm hit the road. “There may be questions about valuations but interest in investors on this new-age company is very large.”

Divam who has more than 15 years of experience in wealth management.

When asked about his prospects for the market, he said: “If Omicron turns out as bad as the second wave, the market in India can see further correction.”

Edited quote:

The company will begin releasing their December quarter income immediately. What is your expectations? ‘

We have seen good sets of getting upgrades from the company for the last few quarters. However, most of the increase can be attributed to hidden requests and the high base achieved, further significant increases in the topline seemed impossible. Also, don’t forget, we have seen the bidding side disorder at Q3 FY22. Next, we hope the pressure on the margin to continue as we see in Q2 FY22.

The expected sector to report strong income growth for the quarter that ends December 2021?

The IT sector is expected to report a strong set of numbers with higher executions and order book growth. This sector will despite continuing to report a high level of friction.

Sectors such as Pharma, Chemistry, Drivers Growth Demand remains beneficial, while challenges in the high price of raw materials, logistics congestion, high energy costs will have an impact on margins.

The automotive sector can show the number subdued as a sector faced by the supply side surprise in this quarter.

Analysts mostly hope that the IPO LIC took place in the first quarter of Cy22. Will the government focus more on monetization in a budget of 2022? What can be the number of raising by the government through IPO LIC?

The IPO was expected to take around RS 1 Lakh Crore to the government. We expect high interest in this IPO from institutions and retail investors. The decision for the allocation of giving an IPO to policyholders can also contribute to increased retail participation in direct equity investment.

With Omicron and withdrawal from FPI that developing countries have witnessed, we hope that the government might fall from the target of their divestment FY22. The government has, however, shows a clear purpose with progress in companies such as Air India and must increase the monetization plan from the PSU in the upcoming budget.

Some experts feel in 2022 are expected to be much better than 2021 for the primary segment and fundraising can be around RS 2 Lakh Crore including LIC. Do you feel so, and what are the companies that plan IPO in 2022?

From the perspective IPO, 2022 must be a better year than 2021 as water has been tested for start-up with companies such as Nykaa, Zomato and Paytm. There may be questions about valuation but the interest of investors on this new age company is very large. Companies like PharmEasy, Delhivery, Mobikwik, Ola, Oyo all get ready for listings on the stock exchange.

Do you think the recent correction has created a big opportunity for investors who miss the bus in the past one direction? What sectors look interesting to buy value now and why?

We believe that this decade belongs to India. We sit in a sweet place with our population demographics, policy actions from our leadership specifically post a pandemic, manufacturing shift focus from China, IT culture that India has been fostered, thanks to companies such as Infosys, TCS, and Wipro.

The wider market is throwing several major investment opportunities for recent correction posts. Investors must allocate capital staggered on occasion such as the market falling.

We continue like IT with every company that wants to enter and upgrade technology in their business, and sectors that will benefit from PLI, namely pharmaceuticals, chemicals, textiles for CY22.
